Do you have someone in your life who loves Welcome to Night Vale? Perhaps they sent you this very guide. If so, they might appreciate receiving a Welcome to Night Vale membership as a gift! Giving someone a membership is a great way to get someone a variety of fun gifts while simultaneously supporting a show they love.
Our members get some really cool rewards, such as:
Exclusive bonus episodes (six and counting!)
Behind-the-scenes Director’s Notes for every new episode (plus an archive going back to 2015!)
A patch and a t-shirt that you can’t get anywhere else
That warm feeling you get when you support your favorite podcast
Patreon doesn’t currently support giving a membership as a gift, but you can use your credit card or PayPal account to pay for an ongoing membership. This option is best if you’re getting a membership for a child or other family member, or a close friend that you trust.
Here’s how to sign your giftee up for a membership:
Step One: Go to our Patreon page!
Step Two: Decide which membership tier you want to gift. The lowest membership tier is $5 per month. Each tier above that also includes the rewards from the tiers below it.
Step Three: Select your tier and go through the signup process! You will need to create a Patreon account. You’ll probably want to use your e-mail address so that you can both keep the gift a surprise and maintain control over the account. Make sure to use a unique password.
Step Four: Tell your giftee! Give them the login info in a secure way, and make sure they know how to access their rewards. Patreon has a mobile app that they can use to access digital rewards on their personal devices, which we highly suggest using!
Other important info: If you selected a tier with physical rewards, be on the lookout for more information on shipping. You can expect physical rewards within three months of signing up. Higher tiers require that members stay active for six months before receiving rewards, so make sure to keep your payment info up to date if you selected one of those tiers!
